You’ve probably heard about that time a fan almost fell from the upper reaches of Riverfront Stadium in 1981 and almost died, but didn’t. Or maybe you haven’t.
Anyways, I grew up at Riverfront. I have an art portrait of Riverfront in my basement to pay homage to the first ballpark that I was ever introduced to. It was a nice, gleaming place to grow up at and use my training wheels as a baseball fan.
I enjoyed the extraordinary read over at Deadspin today about that fan; Randy Kobman.
I link it here because I think you’ll enjoy it too!
