Let the magnificent color of the autumn leaves inspire you to update your home’s interior. Here are some wonderful ideas that can help spark your creativity:

Dress up your mantel with fall décor
When the days get crisper, nothing sounds nicer than getting cozy by the fireplace. Since you’ll spend a lot of time indoors, update the spots where you and your family will be congregating. “Make your fireplace the focal point of your living room by re-styling the mantel,” says interior designer Karen Vidal of Design Vidal. “Group a different piece of art and some objects from other areas of your home, then enjoy some new scenery by the flames.” It’s also a great opportunity to update your fireplace accessories—purchase a new basket for firewood or a decorative fireplace screen. Create a source of warmth with pumpkin votives
Feel free to skip the container and scatter the votives anywhere that could use a little fall glow.
Fill a rustic container two-thirds full of water. Use a craft knife to trace circles a little larger than the bottom of a tea light into the orange mini pumpkins. Cut and carve out the circles to allow a candle to fit inside comfortably. Insert tea lights. Float pumpkin votives as well as whole pumpkins in water. Source: SouthernLiving
Add new pops of color
Combine autumn red or orange splashes with a neutral or contrasting base such as taupe, olive, or blue. Muted greens are fresh alternatives to bold warm colors. Throw pillows, table accessories, and accent rugs are high-impact, low-investment places to start. Source: BHG
