Inman Connect Launches Single Day “On The Road” Events

Los Angeles First Market For New Format

Inman.Com is taking it’s popular Connect conference format on the road in an abbreviated single day format. The events are geared toward trending technology, marketing and business development topics. The first events will take place in Los Angeles (October 18) and Miami (November 30).

The first half of the day are general session tracks. Separate agent and broker tracks take place the second half of the day. The presenters are a combination of local real estate professionals that have established themselves as experts in varying topics. Other speakers include technologists and business development reps from providers of real estate technology and marketing services.

“Connect on the Road speakers will feature local and nationally recognized experts including: Lindsay Mitchell from the Global Marketing Solutions team at Facebook, Adam Fish from Google, real estate marketing pros Seth Price and Katie Lance, local top producers Tami Pardee of Halton Pardee, John Aaroe of Aaroe Group and more.”

Filling the RE Barcamp Void

The bloom might be off the RE Barcamp rose. If so, I’m sure that it’s due to the fact that it’s so challenging. Fun and certainly rewarding but a very time consuming effort. The RE Barcamp movement grew to over 50 cities with some of them having an event every year. While not traditional conferences, the content tracks turn out to be very similar in nature, in fact, some of the current presenters have been involved with REBC events.

I’m confident that Inman Connect will have a tremendous amount of success with “On The Road”. I’ve been an attendee, exhibitor and speaker at Inman Connect events dating back to 1999. I’ve left every one of them glad that I invested the time and money but it is an expensive few days to go to S.F. or N.Y.
