[Dodgers 7, Diamondbacks 1]
[Los Angeles Times]
With Will Ferrell and Sandy Koufax in the house (and probably a flock of other celebs who didn’t make the camera), Clayton Kershaw did the job on Friday night. He carried a shutout into the ninth inning and struck out eight while walking one; allowing just four hits on the night.
This was billed as a ‘showdown’ between Kershaw and Zack Greinke. But this was clearly not a fair fight from the beginning. The Dodgers had little trouble hanging runs on Greinke, and Corey Seager did what Corey Seager does. Seager went 2 for 3, drawing two walks and getting on base four times. Andrew Toles hit a two run bomb. It seemed like everyone in the Dodgers lineup was in on the act at some point.
The Dodgers got back to over .500 at 6-5 on the year.
