Here’s a New York building that’s seen so many legends, it’s hard to decide who to name first. But: Marilyn Monroe.
She moved into the building with playwright Arthur Miller after they married in the late ’50s, and it’s where he wrote the final draft of “The Misfits” — which turned out to be Monroe’s last film.
Now a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment in the building is on the market for $6.75 million. The apartment was once home to fashion designer Bill Blass, who hosted parties on the terraces, where guests including Cary Grant and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor mingled.
Located in the quiet enclave of Sutton Place, and just around the corner from Monroe’s character’s place in “How to Marry a Millionaire,” the 2,340-square-foot apartment boasts an additional 3,000 square feet of terraces for entertaining or just relaxing with a view toward the East River.
