Mike Trout has already had an incredible return from his hamstring injury thsi weekend. He homered on Friday evening and then again Saturday night. And today in the first inning, he hit another long one off Justin Verlander.
It was Trout’s 11th of the season. He’s hitting .352 with a .449 on base and a .738 slugging percentage. It’s almost Memorial Day weekend, so shit is about to get real.
Most of all, Trout got the combo meal today in Anaheim! Proving his hamstring is just fine, he stole two bags; bringing him up to seven in that category. The Angels won the game 4-1 behind a nice little game from Alex Meyer. The Angels sit at 19-21 and are just kind of hanging in there on the heels of Mike Trout’s other-worldly season.
