I don’t remember Mike Trout ever playing the Mets in New York. He wasn’t allowing them to get swept. It just wasn’t happening.
Trout walked twice, doubled, stole his ninth base and hit his 14th home run of the season. He’s to an even .350 on the season and the Angels are back to .500 on the year. Below is video of the ball he shot out to right field off Tommy Milone.
The Angels also got a grand slam from C.J. Cron and a home run from Andrelton Simmons in this game.
Mike Trout has a habit of putting on a show in New York. He loves to get the combo meal there. We’ll have an eye on him when he’s at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx in July.
