In our latest real estate tech entrepreneur interview, we’re speaking with the founder and CEO of Realtor Profiler, Rod Smith.

What do you do?

Hi. I’m Rod Smith. I’m the CEO and founder of the rapid content-generation platform Realtor Profiler. Realtor Profiler instantly generates compelling, custom professional narratives for real estate professionals. These profiles help portals, agencies, and professionals reach qualified leads online.

What problem does your product/service solve?

Content marketing is playing a bigger and bigger role in real estate lead generation. For large portals, like Zillow and Trulia, the trend poses a unique challenge: how can portals ensure the quality of user-generated content, like listings and profiles, for tens of thousands of agents and property managers?

The answer lies in new proptech innovation. A platform that automates content generation for real estate profiles can ensure quality content site wide. It can also populate thousands of profiles with well-written, search-engine-optimised (SEO) narratives almost instantaneously. Realtor Profiler scales content marketing for big players like portals and agencies.

What are you most excited about right now?

Advancements in artificial intelligence are at the top of everyone’s list. At the moment, we use weak AI to build profiles that highlight each subject’s achievements, capture their personalities, and mimic their tones of voice. As the intelligence of the products in our space improves, I’m most excited about strengthening Realtor Profiler’s AI to anticipate the needs of our end users: agents, realtors, and brokers.

What’s next for you?

Our platform builds top-notch profiles in English, but we’d like to be able to simultaneously generate profiles in Spanish, French, and other languages as well. I believe that neural machine translation is the future of language translation – we are currently generating beta profiles through an integration with Google Translate.

What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?

I’m big into cryptocurrency…does that count? I believe cryptocurrency has the power to bring financial stability to citizens of struggling countries who, in the past, have lost their acquired wealth in times of political and economic turmoil.
