Aaron Judge hits home run #30

God, this kid is the GREATEST YOUNG POWER HITTER I’VE EVER SEEN. EVER.

I have news for you – this isn’t just a good couple months. This isn’t just a good start to a career. The power at least, isn’t going away.

Last night in the Bronx with half my family nearby the Land of the Sopranos, Judge hammered home run number 30 to center at Yankee Stadium. It broke Joe Dimaggio’s rookie record, the first of a few records Judge is going to shatter this season.

Here’s a look at it, it’s really just a pop fly to center hit by a strong man with some backspin on it. I honestly feel like this guy is going deep every time up. It’s different than watching a Mike Trout, or a Corey Seager, or even Bryce Harper when Harper has been most locked in during his career.

It was a 432 foot shot when it landed. Hardly pedestrian. Hardly just a poke. Definitely not a cheapie.

From here, it would be the last run the Yankees would score in losing 9-4. Tyler Clippard would enter to allow a grand slam and surrender a lot of runs, blowing the Yankees a save for the 17th time this season. They blew 16 saves in all of 2016.
